The Portrait Experience
Our portrait sessions feel like a sweet visit with a friend. From the moment you step into my home, you’ll feel a sense of warmth, ease & connection. Children quickly settle in as though they’re on a fun playdate, and I take care to make them feel comfortable, seen & oh so special.
The session itself unfolds naturally - full of laughter, play and little moments of joy. My goal is for your family to leave not just with timeless heirloom portraits, but also with memories of a truly delightful experience together.

Our Signature Process
I. The Preparation
My monthly availability is released every quarter, with sessions booking at least 1-3 months in advance. Please make sure to reserve your date as soon as possible, as they do book up quickly each month! Once we agree on a session date, I will send my customized session agreement to you via email. Once you complete this agreement and pay your session deposit in my client portal, you are all booked.
II. Client Wardrobe Closet & Pre-Session Info
One of the most fun parts of your session experience is your option to “shop” my client wardrobe closet. Here you will find a curated selection of precious Heirloom outfits sized 6M-4Y for boys and girls, freshly pressed and ready to photograph their best. A few weeks before your session, you will receive a pre-session guide that includes every detail you need to know to make your session experience as smooth as possible.
III. Your Session
On the day of your session, you and your family will meet me at my home in Holly Springs. I will welcome you upstairs to my in-home studio, and your little ones will be invited to relax and play. We will spend anywhere from 30-60 minutes together, selecting the perfect outfit, getting your child dressed & photo ready and snapping your precious photos. Families are truly blown away at how at ease their children feel in my home and how much they enjoy our visit.
IV. Cue the Tears
I will deliver an online gallery to you of only the best, curated images within 2 weeks of your portrait session - usually much sooner. You then will select your artwork package to purchase within 1 week and I will get to work on all the details!
V. The Best Part
I offer a variety of custom framing options to ensure your artwork is preserved in the most timeless and beautiful way. I also include a combination of digital files + printed photographs in every package for those families who prefer to frame their own artwork. A print release & comprehensive client printing guide is sent at the end of every session to assist you with this process. I can't wait to see how you display your heirloom prints in your home.

With four sessions from 6 months to age 2, this experience captures each precious stage of growth. At its conclusion, you’ll receive a stunning 4-image composite–an heirloom piece showcasing your child’s first two years beautifully. A keepsake collection, thoughtfully curated to become a treasured part of your family’s legacy.
The Portrait Membership
Heirloom portraiture is the most classical style of children's photography that is designed as a forever piece of art. In a world of trends that come and go so quickly, heirloom portraits allow the beauty of your child to stand out without the distraction of trendy clothing or edits.
What is an heirloom photo?
I always open up dates for booking at least 6-8 weeks prior to the dates being booked, so there is plenty of time for your family to plan for travel if needed, plan outfits, etc. These spots are first come, first served and do get snagged very quickly, so don't hesitate to contact me if you have a specific month in mind you were hoping for.
What is your booking process?
My clients are often truly shocked at how cooperative & calm their children are during my sessions. The in-home studio instantly puts kids at ease, and the toys to play with definitely help! I team up with parents to utilize whatever tools are in our toolbox to capture beautiful expressions.
How on earth do you get my little ones to pose for these photographs?
Frequently asked questions
I offer both digital files and printed photographs. Printed photographs are always ordered for you through my professional lab, wrapped in boutique packaging, and shipped directly to your doorstep. I also have a beautiful selection of fine art products available for purchase.
Do you offer digital files or just photographs?
I specialize solely in heirloom portraiture. This makes me unique as I am the only photographer in the area to do so, and it allows me to focus on this one fine art form. I am always honing this timeless craft as well as devoting all of my time to creating this artwork for families. This ensures more specialized, personal service for you.
Do you do other types of family photography or just heirloom portraits?
I am often asked this question and the answer is...there really is no "best" age! Children must be able to hold their heads up independently and sit on my low stool, so usually 6 months old is a good starting age. I have photographed children as young as 6 months and as old as 12 years.
What is the best age to have heirloom portraits made?
I always say: the best part of heirloom portraits is that they’re for your great-grandchildren as much as they are for you. When we create these photographs, we’re not just thinking about right now. We’re thinking about who might be holding them 50 years from now. That’s what makes this so special.
